The first time I was told I would write a book was in February 2008 at a women’s conference. The speaker, Germaine Copeland, called me out during the service and said one day my story would be in a book. I remember thinking she obviously didn’t know me. Writing has never been my thing. I love math and logic. Math is absolute, and it always has one answer. I never enjoyed writing as a child either. It uses pieces of my brain that don’t come naturally. I also lacked time. Every week since then, someone has asked if I’ve ever thought of writing a book or told me I need to. Most mornings, I’d ask the Lord who it was going to be that day or week and He never disappointed. I told Him years ago to bring me a ghostwriter, so I could tell all my stories, and boom, the book would be written... I never found one. Here I sit now, finally ready to share.
I filled this book with stories from my life, where it all began, and where I am today. God is full of redemption, grace, and mercy. We all have God-stories, and if we pay attention, we can see Him everywhere. I am always looking for what He’s doing. There are no coincidences in my life. These stories bring hope to the lost and broken and their loved ones, which includes everyone. No one is ever too far gone for the Lord. I was almost 30 before I let Him transform me. I pray that as you read these stories, they will inspire you to change your life. Give God a chance. Jesus Christ can and will rescue you no matter what. You are worth it. He has quite the sense of humor, so be ready! One thing I know for sure...
He was always there.
